Fire management
Fynbos vegetation types in the region are adapted to survive and regenerate after wildfires. In fact, many fynbos species need fire for their seeds to germinate.
Working in collaboration with local Fire Protection Agencies, landowners and the Baviaanskloof Bewarea, Living Lands works with the local Fire Protection Agency and landowners to build and maintain firebreaks to protect certain areas of veld.
