Sustainable Harvest Plans
We develop plans for farmers and landowners to manage
and harvest their wild Honeybush populations sustainably.
These plans include Fynbos veld management activities
(removal of invasive alien plants, fire management), thus
benefiting the biodiversity in areas where wild Honeybush
is harvested.

Harvester Training
and Support:
We train local Honeybush harvesters in the most sustainable
harvesting methods, as well as in activities that support
sustainable Fynbos veld management, like removal of
invasive alien plants and fire management.
This is beneficial for long-term honeybush production risk management and harvester skill diversification.
Honeybush Augmentation
We’ve developed a science-backed, ecologically-sound
method for collecting wild Honeybush seed, processing and preparing the seed, and then planting it back out in the wild, in the same areas where the seed was collected.
We call thiswhole process Augmentation. We aim to bolster wild populations
– it is another method we use to sustainably manage
this natural resource.
